Ember Tide Water Lily

This one looks like somebody set a water lily on fire and somehow convinced the flame to stay. Ember Tide is a completely handmade, one-of-one borosilicate glass water lily built from layers of individually shaped petals flowing through deep blues, purples, pinks, fiery amber and orange. The colors shift throughout the flower rather than sitting neatly in their own lanes, giving every angle a different mix of cool water and molten color. At the center sits a raised glass core surrounded by individually formed, curled details in amber, orange, red and purple. The outer petals stretch outward into long pointed tips, with subtle bends, curls and asymmetry intentionally left from the hand-forming process.
